Our Walk MS Fundraiser of the Week is Lisa Rappa!

Lisa has been a Walk MS Rockland participant since 2008 (only missing the 2009 walk) and has personally raised more than $5,000 for the New York City – Southern New York Chapter of the National MS Society.  As captain of “Valley Team,” which currently has 14 members,Lisa has been a Top Fundraiser since 2010 and is well on her way to claiming that title again this year, being half way to her goal of $1,000.

Lisa and her mom are living with MS. She says that she “walks in this event every year, not really for me, but for my mom and for all the people who do suffer from MS. I hope that through fundraising and research that they will find a cure for MS.”

Fundraising Tip: The “Extra Change in My Pocket” Box. Create these little boxes for your friends and family and have them place it on their dresser or desk. At the end of the day, they can drop their spare change in the box and when it’s filled, donate it to your fundraising effort.
