Our Walk MS Fundraiser of the Week is Salvatore Oliva!

Salvatore Oliva is not only team captain of Walk MS “Team Estela” but has already become a Top Fundraiser by raising over $3,260! His extensive fundraising effort includes corporate support from Barnes & Noble, the chairman of Crate & Barrel and the owner of The Staten Island Hilton just to name a few! Salvatore is also utilizing Facebook to support his fundraising and has 675 “shares” to date. He also volunteers and plays a role on the Walk MS Leadership Committee to ensure its success on Staten Island.  

His involvement in the Walk MS movement is driven by his mother, Estela, who was diagnosed with MS right after he was born 29 years ago.

Fundraising Tip: Take a page out of Salvatore’s book. Reach out to local businesses you support and ask them to support you either with a monetary donation or an in-kind donation that you can use as a raffle prize to get more donations!
