We wouldn’t ask you to participate in Walk MS if we weren’t prepared to help you do it! Even if you’re new to walking or have never walked very far, you can walk one, three, or six miles with the right preparation.
Here are a few things to keep in mind before you start any type of training for Walk MS:
- Put your best foot forward. Make sure you have a pair of sneakers with good support.
- Drink up. Be sure to drink plenty of water before, during and after walking.
- Pace yourself. Start out slow and easy. You can add time and distance when you feel comfortable.
Start a Walk MS Training Group! Grab your friends, family, co-workers or Walk MS teammates and form a weekly walking group. Set a day, place and time to meet and walk at a conversational pace.
